An engineering manager reached out by email and told me they wanted to move forward.

They gave me a take-home take-home challenge, and I actually liked that part more than the typical timed data-structure or algorithms tests.

After I finished it, I had additional interviews over Google Meet with senior engineering managers and the CTO. The whole process took about a month and a half, but I didn’t mind waiting because I was working elsewhere at the time.

I didn’t end up with an offer, but I came away feeling positive about the challenge style and the general flow, even with the longer timeline.
