My interview trail included a technical screen, then an interview sequence that flowed through API design, behavioral, and system design, followed by a project deep dive and a product-focused interview.

I made it through every stage and still ended up getting rejected at the end.

Even though I got pretty far, the follow-through was what stuck with me. Afterward, I reached out to the recruiter for feedback about why it didn’t work out, but I never heard back. The interviews themselves felt like a real run at the role—covering multiple angles from design to product thinking—but the silence after rejection left me feeling like I couldn’t close the loop on what they wanted most.
