After a recruiter touchpoint, I later sat down with a person who really wanted to dig into the company itself.

I had done what I felt was thorough research, but the conversation had an edge to it—like they were measuring whether I knew even the newest details, including a partnership that wasn’t on my radar.

The interview felt difficult less because of question types and more because of the pressure around “knowing everything.” I left feeling like I had missed something small but important, and the overall vibe didn’t feel welcoming or forgiving. I didn’t end up getting an offer, and the process felt like it hinged on being perfectly up to date.
