I went through an interview that dragged close to an hour, but it didn’t really feel like I was being advanced through a thoughtful evaluation.

The answers to my questions weren’t very conclusive, and when I talked about my projects, it sometimes felt like I was sharing details that were well beyond what they could connect with.

The atmosphere wasn’t hostile, but it was oddly unproductive—like I was left with more questions than clarity by the time I finished. I didn’t receive an offer, and I remember walking away frustrated that the conversation didn’t give me confidence either way about whether there was real alignment.
