Boston, MAPosted Jun 2014 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I applied online through a job portal and the next day I got an email asking me to complete a technical design test within 24 hours.

The technical part felt exceedingly easy if I had any background in game programming. The design portion was harder to judge because it was much more subjective, and it depended on how I framed choices.

A few days after I sent my work back, I asked for feedback on the test whether or not I passed. Instead, I got an email saying they didn’t think I’d be a good fit. I replied to thank them and again requested feedback, but I never heard back. The whole thing left me feeling like I put time into something they couldn’t clearly evaluate or explain, and then quietly closed the door.
