Rockstar Games Software Engineer interview experience

It was completely automated, and I found it awkward and stressful. I was asked questions where I had to record my answers on video, but the platform didn’t give enough time—I was constantly cut off.

It also felt inflexible: I had only limited retry attempts before it submitted my responses. Between the timing pressure and the way the interface handled interruptions, it felt like the interview was testing the software more than the role. I didn’t move forward, and I remember feeling genuinely annoyed because it was one of the worst interview setups I’d ever dealt with.
