I did an online assessment first, and then I spoke with HR, which was friendly and positive.

After that I met with a team lead who gave me a home-take project.

Once the project was done, I presented it in a meeting with the team lead and a developer. After that, I had another meeting higher up with a technical director. The process ended with an offer.

I liked that the work was tied to a deliverable I could think through rather than only rapid-fire questioning. Even though it took effort, the structure made it feel like my work and how I talked through it mattered.
