I got far enough to start the interview process, and then I was told the role was already filled—then the call just ended.

What made it feel so pointless was that I still had been sent an assessment and spent several hours completing it. When I asked for a simple cancellation, I felt like the organization around scheduling and communication just wasn’t there.

I never moved forward to a real interview after that, and I never received anything that felt like a proper next step. I left the whole thing annoyed mostly at the wasted time and the mismatch between what they asked me to do and what was actually happening.
