My interview felt relatively direct and case-driven, but the atmosphere threw me off.

Most of what I went through was case study work—some cases felt tougher than others—and everything ran over Zoom.

When I reached the partner interviews, the vibe changed. It wasn’t that the questions were impossible, but the partner seemed disinterested and that made the tone feel off compared to the rest of the process. That difference in energy affected how I experienced the final rounds.

By the time it ended, I didn’t get an offer. Still, I can say the case component was clear and straightforward, and my main takeaway was how much the interpersonal tone in late-stage interviews can sway
