My interview with Publix felt surprisingly short and uneven—I didn’t even get asked many questions, and the whole thing was more like a quick conversation than a detailed assessment.

The interviewer’s tone was super judge-y in how it was presented, and I remember thinking they barely dug into my experience.

They said I’d hear back within a week either way, but that didn’t happen. After that, I tried to get in touch but couldn’t reach anyone at the store, so the process stalled out after the interview. I didn’t end up receiving an offer.

What stayed with me most was how quickly it ended and how the promised follow-up never materialized. Even though the interview itself wasn’t difficult, the silence afterward made it feel unmanaged on their side.
