In February 2017, the process felt like a company pitch that strongly resembled multi-level marketing.

Head of branch referral and pre-screen — I was invited to meet, then asked to fill out a pre-screen form.
Conference-room group presentation — I sat with others for a presentation about “owning your own business.”
Pushback on concerns — When I questioned the structure, I was told it was different, but the impression was that I’d be fully responsible for earnings and benefits, with monthly fees. Outcome: I didn’t move forward; I walked away because it felt like MLM from all angles.
