I went to an onsite visit in August 2018 that was pitched as a fit-based process, but it quickly came across as a sales-focused role.

Onsite interview at the office — HR reached out to invite me onsite and warned they couldn’t promise a position and would decide based on fit.
Company introduction — A staff member presented the company and described different levels of financial advisor roles.
Role clarification — It was presented as effectively a sales job rather than a pure analyst position. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; I left concerned that the work was primarily sales.
