Precision Castparts Software Engineer interview experience

Positive

Mentor, OHPosted Jul 2016 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through an interview process that felt mostly positive, but it varied a lot depending on who I spoke with.

I had a good experience with the engineering manager and the human resources manager—those questions were relevant and helped them understand me as someone who could add value to the company.

The contrast was with the operations manager. His questioning felt scattered and disconnected from each other, and he interrupted the end of my answers. I found myself wondering if it was partly interviewer inexperience more than anything about my background. Overall, I walked away thinking the team’s interest was real, but the process was uneven, and I didn’t end up receiving an offer.
