My interview involved a sample dataset and a regression analysis task about a study examining how education affects wage premiums.

It wasn’t presented as simple, and it tested whether I could follow the structure of econometric thinking rather than just do basic calculations.

The difficulty was difficult because the analysis wasn’t trivial, but the interviewer was patient enough to guide me through it. That support mattered because it kept me from stalling completely when the modeling details got dense.

I didn’t get an offer, but I left feeling like the technical fundamentals—econometrics or statistics knowledge—were genuinely relevant to how I performed.
