I interviewed for a Business Analyst summer internship path and faced an average-difficulty sequence that mixed basic finance thinking with a stock pitch component.

Assessment — After applying as a college student, I completed a simple finance-focused assessment meant to gauge how I think.
Stock pitch — I was then asked to pitch either a long or a short stock idea.
Behavioral + modeling + pitch — In another version of the process, I saw behavioral questions paired with a modeling test and a pitch element.

Outcome: I didn’t get an offer, and I walked away feeling the pitch/modeling commitment wasn’t clearly worth the effort for the odds.
