Neenah, WIPosted Dec 2022 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My final interview for a Software Engineer role was difficult not because of technical depth, but because of confusing expectations and a tense tone.

Final interview — I reached the last stage, but it never became clear what the job would actually entail. I was asked a mix of personal and “trick” questions, and the interviewer seemed to misunderstand my background, with an assumption that I lacked relevant experience.

Outcome: I didn’t move forward, and I left extremely disappointed—the biggest issue was the lack of clarity and the unhelpful, assumptive questioning.
