I interviewed for an engineering role in Penang with a phone and on-site flow, and the experience felt positive overall aside from not hearing back.

Phone interview — The first step was a phone conversation.
On-site (manager + team tour) — An on-site discussion with the manager, followed by time with staff and a site/lab tour led by someone from the team.
Post-interview communication — I wasn’t updated on the application outcome even after emailing. Outcome: I didn’t move forward; the interviews and culture impressions were strong, but follow-up was lacking.
