My process started with a recruiter call that was supposed to lead straight into a sequence of interviews: an hour with the hiring manager, a 30-minute chat with the regional manager, and then a one-hour presentation in person.

The first red flag hit almost immediately—my recruiter call was canceled about ten minutes beforehand because the role had supposedly been filled.

They were still friendly about it and moved my application to another location, and then they scheduled me with a hiring manager. I received a lot of material to review beforehand and showed up on Zoom early. But just minutes before the interview start, I got an email saying the role had been filled and the interview was canceled. That left me with a full day taken off work for something that never happened.
