My interview journey started with a very hard online interview, and then I moved into an onsite that included system design plus multiple rounds of tougher LeetCode-style problems, including medium/hard levels.

There were also lots of behavioral questions that pushed me to talk through my resume and earlier experience.

I kept finding that the cognitive load was high across nearly every segment—system design right alongside multiple coding rounds, then behavior layered on top. The process felt less like a single test of knowledge and more like a test of endurance and clarity under pressure.

I didn’t receive an offer. Reflecting on it, I realized I’d mentally prepared for technical difficulty, but the combination and volume of harder coding and behavioral depth was what truly caught me off guard.
