Opendoor Software Engineer interview experience

The phone screen felt canned and repeated what seemed like an Excel-sheet style question, with an expectation to produce a perfect solution in 45 minutes. That time constraint felt unrealistic to me unless I’d seen the exact problem before.

Even though it was a structured screening step, the way it was framed made it feel more like speed and precision tests than understanding.

I didn’t receive an offer. The main reflection I have is that the phone screen’s setup didn’t feel aligned with how long it typically takes to deliver something flawlessly.
