Opendoor Software Engineer interview experience

The meeting was a discussion around the things in my resume, and it felt like it went well. The VP said they’d talk it through with the team and get back to me.

Then I hit radio silence. A week passed without a response, so I followed up by emailing the recruiter. I still didn’t hear back. That stretch of no communication was hard to swallow, especially because the message had sounded like it would move forward.

Ultimately, I didn’t get an offer, and what stuck with me wasn’t the rejection itself—it was the lack of follow-through after an otherwise good conversation.
