Opendoor Software Engineer interview experience

The rounds themselves were specific and scenario-based, and I liked that the interview style didn’t come across as trick questions or the typical “leetcode-only” evaluation.

The panel felt open to discussion, not like everything was about finding a right answer at all costs. That approach made the experience feel more collaborative, and it was easier to engage with the tasks instead of guessing what they wanted to hear.

I ultimately didn’t receive an offer, but the experience left me with the clearest sense that the process was designed to be practical rather than adversarial.
