I interviewed for Oliver Wyman Consultant through a short, partner-heavy process that felt mostly professional, though one round became oddly rigid and overly book-driven.

Round 1 (multiple partner-led interviews) — I met with more than three partners; interviews felt smooth with a mix of technical-style discussion and soft-skill topics.
Round 2 (short follow-up interviews) — Another couple of interviews about an hour total; one felt pleasant while the other was less welcoming, with the interviewer looking for very specific answers. Outcome: No offer, and the takeaway was to prepare responses that match the firm’s expected reasoning—not just the “right idea.”
