I went through multiple rounds that were pretty typical for a research role, but still took enough steps that it felt like more than a quick chat.

I started with a prescreen with the recruiter, then moved into an interview with the hiring manager. After that, I met two team members, and then I had one more round with department leads.

Across the conversations, the focus stayed on whether I fit the role and how I would work with the team, and the difficulty felt solidly average—nothing felt impossible, but it wasn’t just casual small talk either. I didn’t receive an offer, but the process felt deliberate and thorough, with enough touchpoints that they could really compare my background and communication across different levels.
