My interview started off well with someone friendly and interested in my background, and I felt like I could actually have a real conversation about skills and experience.

Then a gentleman from a southern office joined, and the dynamic immediately shifted. The discussion turned into him dominating the room for about 45 minutes—everything revolved around his client contributions and how he ran the office, and I struggled to get a word in. It felt awkward and self-focused, and I left the interview with a strong sense that it wasn’t really structured around evaluating me.
