San Francisco, CAPosted Mar 2019 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for this role twice, and both times ended up being a rough experience.

The first call with the recruiter went well both times, but the interactions with the hiring managers were where the wheels came off. In the first interview, the hiring manager didn’t ask much about my actual experience and kept focusing on warnings about the technical side of the job. My background was software engineering, and I kept trying to make that clear, but it felt like I wasn’t being listened to.

After that, I was given a technical challenge that was missing major pieces of information. It included a PDF that was only two pages, with blanks I had to fill in, and even a YAML file
