New Relic Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

Posted Jul 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for an SDE-2 track at New Relic and got rejected after the first technical round.

That round was a DSA-focused coding session centered on data structures and algorithms, delivered through Codility.

The interviewer started with a brief introduction and then moved straight into the coding questions. The prompts were framed like real-life scenarios rather than purely abstract problems. I didn’t move past that first technical screen, and it felt like the outcome hinged heavily on how I performed on the initial DSA checkpoint.
