My interview included covering previously studied technical topics, along with the usual background and resume conversation.

It wasn’t described as wildly complex, but it did have a technical component.

What really stretched the timeline wasn’t the interview itself—it was the security clearance process. It took a long time to get cleared, and that delay pushed back when I could actually start work for the lab.

Even though the difficulty was average and the interview covered standard material, the overall experience was dominated by clearance timing rather than interview performance. I didn’t get an offer.
