I tried to start with a 30-minute phone call to discuss the role.

The first attempt didn’t connect and I had to call back, since it was a long-distance situation and the initial call went to voicemail.

Even so, the conversation never really progressed from there—I never heard back, and it stretched out to more than a month. At that point, I felt like I didn’t even get a real chance to reach the interviewing stage. I didn’t receive an offer, and honestly the biggest frustration was the lack of follow-up after I’d tried to engage.
