I interviewed for a Software Engineer role via MS Teams and it felt extremely mismatched and rushed, ending with a quick rejection.

Remote screen — I had a short Teams call focused on basic resume overview questions.
Engineering fundamentals mismatch — The interviewer didn’t seem to understand differences between engineering disciplines/tools, and I felt I was explaining concepts too simplistically for the role.
No follow-up or questions — The interviewer ended by saying there wasn’t an opportunity and didn’t even allow me to ask questions, even though I still had time remaining. Outcome: I didn’t move forward, and my takeaway was that early screens were decisive and the role fit felt misunderstood.
