MITRE Security Engineer interview experience

First I spoke with someone connected to the program, and then I had an interview with another person in the program itself.

Both conversations went well and felt largely geared toward understanding my interest in the company and in security work. There were a few technical questions mixed in, but the overall emphasis felt like fit and motivation rather than pushing deep on a narrow technical area.

I didn’t continue to the next round. Even though the interviews went smoothly, it felt like they were checking a specific box early on and I didn’t match well enough to progress.
