Mirakl Software Engineer interview experience

I went through five interviews total, all remote: two that were clearly technical and three that were focused on values. The technical rounds weren’t presented as coding marathons; they were more classic conversations grounded in what I knew from the stack and how I approached larger design questions.

For the values interviews, STAR became the backbone of the discussion. I had access to STAR guidance in videos ahead of time, and honestly, I didn’t love the idea of having to adopt a method before the interview. Once I was actually in the room, though, it changed the dynamic in a good way.
