East Lansing, MIPosted Jul 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had an interview directly with the PI, and it was very focused on my research background and how I approached the work.

They asked questions about my research skills and my knowledge of statistics, but they also asked about things like my personality and what I was aiming for in the future.

What stood out was how manageable it felt overall. The questions were clearly meant to understand how I’d do the job, and the vibe was supportive rather than intimidating. It left me feeling like the role was a real match for the way I think about research.
