Mercury Insurance Software Engineer interview experience

First, I was given a coding test by email and had three hours to finish it. After that, I had a phone interview where they asked basic Java questions, focused on fundamentals rather than anything exotic.

The final step was a Skype interview, and that one was mainly about communication—how I explained my thinking and how clearly I could come across on the call. Overall the difficulty stayed average, and it felt like they were filtering for both basic coding ability and soft skills before making any deeper judgment.
