London, EnglandPosted Nov 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for the Consultant role with an average-difficulty, fit-focused process anchored in behavioral questions and motivations, combining video and Zoom rounds.

HireVue (pre-recorded) — I answered prompted questions on camera.
Zoom behavioral interview — I discussed situational scenarios, my motivations for Mercer, and how I apply consulting skills.
Final interview format (varied by recruiter path) — in one version the last stage ran about three hours with back-to-back interviews with Mercer employees. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer; the takeaway was that they primarily assessed fit, motivations, and how I handle role-related situations.
