I interviewed for Software Engineer at McAfee and found the overall loop extremely difficult, with multiple rounds mixing technical depth and puzzles.

Technical + math/puzzle round — I was asked technical questions plus mathematical puzzles.
Programming round — I tackled programming-focused questions.
Manager round + difficult puzzle — The manager discussion was paired with another challenging puzzle. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer; the takeaway was that this pathway was hard to crack and required strong problem-solving plus technical maturity.
