I had a single interview that was in person, and it felt surprisingly easy in terms of the questions themselves.

The interviewer’s questions were straightforward and I answered confidently, but the interaction felt derailed because he kept looking at his phone and texting while I was right in front of him.

As a result, I ended up repeating parts of my answers because he didn’t seem to be fully listening. It threw me off more than the content did, and the whole thing came across as disrespectful and unprofessional to me. I didn’t get an offer, and what stuck with me most wasn’t the difficulty of the interview—it was how inattentive it felt.
