I started with a recruiter call and then moved into a 30-minute interview with the hiring manager.

The hiring manager mostly talked about the company and the work, and I noticed she didn’t spend as much time drilling into my background as I expected. She was also fairly rushed by the schedule.

What stood out was that she asked me if I had questions, and I leaned into that—spending a lot of time asking about details I wanted to understand. By the end, the overall impression was positive, but the timing pressure made it harder to feel fully heard. I didn’t end up getting an offer.
