I had a phone screen with LinkedIn where the interviewer asked one LeetCode question and a set of ML concept questions—about ten.

The process felt tightly focused on fundamentals and definitions, and they also signaled that statistics could come up.

I passed that interview. The tone and structure were fairly direct, and it felt like the evaluation was checking whether I had the core ML knowledge to back up my coding.

Even though I cleared that step, I didn’t end up with an offer. Looking back, the experience was a clear snapshot of where they put their weight: ML concepts and stats understanding right alongside a single coding challenge.
