My first steps were pretty direct and focused on coding collaboration.

I started with a recruiter call to go over my background and projects, and then I moved quickly into a pair programming style session with engineers. In that collaboration, I was looking through existing code and making changes with the interviewer, so it wasn’t just explaining concepts from the outside.

The collaboration round itself felt like the central event: live Zoom coding with two senior engineers, where they set a task and we worked through updates together. The tone was friendly, and it helped that the problem centered on editing and improving code rather than memorizing trivia.
