Klaviyo Software Engineer interview experience

I scheduled an initial interview and the recruiter was late by about ten minutes. The tone of the call was immediately off, and within the first part I could tell I probably wasn’t going to make it—like I was being treated as a checkbox rather than a conversation.

After the call, I effectively didn’t get the chance to recover that first impression through the substance of the discussion, and the process ended with a rejection. I remember walking away thinking how frustrating it was that the whole interaction felt so negative before I even got to any meaningful interview content.
