I went through a process where the recruiter communication stood out as a big part of the experience.

After each interview step, I was contacted with information about what would come next, which made the process feel smooth and transparent. I also felt like I was learning about how the data science team worked rather than just being processed.

The sequence started with an initial phone screening, and then a virtual technical interview with a senior data scientist. That interview was presented as one part of a broader set of four interviews. I waited weeks after the technical interview for follow-up, and eventually the recruiter sent a rejection.

Even without an offer, it was memorable
