The interview was structured and even a bit explanatory, like they wanted me to understand what they were trying to evaluate.

It began with an introduction, then we talked through my tech skills and my education details. They also described what they expected during the discussion so I wasn’t guessing what direction they wanted.

They spent time laying out the company goals and how my role would fit into what they were trying to accomplish. The conversation also connected to the kinds of problem statements they were trying to resolve, so it didn’t feel like only theory—they tied my background to the work they were doing. I left with a clearer picture of the role, but I still didn’t receive an offer.
