San Francisco, CAPosted Aug 2020 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interview experience felt almost like a casual coffee chat, and the format was simple.

We started with straightforward conversation about why Insight and why I wanted to move into data science. Then I walked through a project—more of a walkthrough than a formal technical examination.

After the project walkthrough, they asked a handful of technical questions tied to what I’d shown. The whole thing had a light feel to it, and I never got the sense that it was trying to trip me up. By the end, it was clear they wanted to see whether I could explain my work without getting lost in details.
