I first landed an online meeting after applying and moving into what felt like a friendly, low-pressure conversation.

The interviewer started by asking a few questions about my personal experience and my CV, and then shifted into technical questions tied to the research topic.

What stood out to me was the interviewer’s enthusiasm. They were really engaged with the subject, and their tone made it easy to talk through how I thought about different parts of the research. I didn’t feel like the questions were meant to trick me—more like they wanted to understand how I approached the work and where my interests came from.
