I really wanted to like the company, but the facility tour at Farmingdale immediately left me uneasy.

The lab benches were set up in a large, open room with glass windows, and it honestly triggered that “fishbowl” feeling I’d had before—being on display felt like something I wasn’t willing to repeat.

Even with the experience I already had in the industry, the offer they discussed for a lab scientist role came in at only $65,000. That gap between what I expected and what they were offering made the whole process feel like a mismatch, and I didn’t end up moving forward.
