I interviewed for Software Engineer with an average-to-difficult overall feel because it included several distinct checkpoints from HR to architecture to leadership.

HR intro — A short general discussion.
Team leader conversation — General discussion alongside technical topics.
On-site/assessment with system architect — A dedicated one-hour test with the architect.
Division manager conversation — I discussed salary expectations. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer, and the takeaway was that the process moved through progressively higher-stakes decision points.
