HP Inc. Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

Medium

Negative

JapanPosted Dec 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for Software Engineer and found the experience unpleasant and hard to trust, with ghosting and communication issues dominating the timeline.

Interview rounds — During the process, I was asked to repeat what I said because someone needed to “write a report.”
HR communication failures — HR replied to emails at midnight and later ghosted me for months.
No closure — After the last interview, HR sent only a brief line saying they wanted to interview again, without real follow-through. Outcome: No offer, and the takeaway was that the process felt toxic enough to avoid.
