HERE Technologies Software Engineer interview experience

MumbaiPosted Jun 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for a Software Engineer role and it felt difficult and heavily Java-centric, with multiple technical rounds and core development topics.

Technical-heavy set of rounds — I went through 3–4 rounds total, including two technical interviews and one managerial discussion.
Core development topics (Java/Maven/Git/design patterns) — technical questions covered Java (fairly hard variants), Maven, Git, design patterns, data structures, and coding concepts.
Managerial fit — the managerial part focused on core values and development expectations. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer, and the takeaway was that performance plus honesty on what you know is what they value in tough Java rounds.
