I went into interviews where the focus stayed heavily on core data structures and iterative problem-solving, and I didn’t move forward.

Resume discussion + code follow-up — I started with background and project purpose questions, then moved into a coding question and a follow-up using a simpler approach via built-in methods.
DS-focused technical interview — I was asked questions centered on collections like hash maps and lists, with heavy emphasis on data structures and algorithms. Outcome: I wasn’t selected; the takeaway was to be ready for depth in collection/data-structure fundamentals.
